20 Dec 07 (Thurs)
DAY 1 IN HK ~~
Reached HK ~~

Woke up early in a Public Holi??? (Hari Raya Haji)
HAHA.. Fear not, cause am flying at T1 in the morning with Cathay Pacific to HONG KONG!!!

Woo HOO…. Together with my cousin JL for the 6D5N F&E Tour!!!

It was a looong wait for the airport transfer to hotel, which took us nearly 2 hours!!!

We are at Dorsett Seaview Hotel, nearest MTR is Ya Ma Tei. The room was quite packed for the 2 of us. Their TV channels, we only like 新娘18 (the Korean show which was aired in Ch U before). Our only entertainment in the hotel was watching this show =)

Off we go to find the MTR… While walking, chanced by their local library..
Variety of books was ok, and I like their decorations, which was different from ours.

Yeah, me reading book!!!

Next, was to 茶餐厅(Cafe) for our dinner. Intend to eat their clay pot rice, in the end, ordered the wrong one... 花园街 (Fa Yuen Street)) shopping was next…

While I was happily shopping for clothes, my cousin was sick and vomited. Quickly, we went to the nearby hospital for help!!! It was real expensive when we are not a resident there. The nurses there recommend us to go for those local clinics for treatment.

It took us almost 1 hour to find that clinic. The signboard of this clinic was a dental clinic… WTH!!! And we only intend to go in and ask where is the location and the reception told us, yes, this is the clinic we are looking for… FAINT~~~

Cousin took the medicine and we return back to hotel…

21 Dec 07 (Fri)
DAY 2 IN HK
~~ Macau ~~

Had our breakfast in to 茶餐厅 (Cafe), think it is eat together. The food was nice, just that the soup base was way too salty for us!!!

The niceest toilet in HK =)

Took the ferry to Macau!!

Visited the Ruins of St. Paul's, one of the famous destinations for Macau.
It was really a good view with European feeling and in a China environment!!!

See, so crowded!!!

Ruins of St. Paul's

Macau's Christmas Decorations

I love the deer, SOOOOOOOO Cute!!!

Next stop, we went and look for 老婆饼(Wife biscuit) . Nice, being able to sample lots of food...

Took cab to find the infamous 猪扒包 (Pork chop burger) which my cousin had being talking non stop before we set off for our trip...

It only start supplying at 3pm sharp. Luckily, we reached at 2 plus. Roughly near to 2.50, there's queue already!!! MY GOD!!!
It must be really nice!!!

Yupz, it taste heavenly!!!! Can you imagine, french loaf with the pork chop combination??? YUMMY!!! I'm missing it now =)

Wanted to go casino and take a look, since that's what it make Macau fasmous.... Too bad... Almost time to go back ;(

Us in Macau's bus

What is the worst thing is, we took the wrong bus/ wrong direction, we end up getting further and further away from the ferry terminal...

In the end, took cab back by a lady driver and guess what, missed our ferry back by 15 mins i think.. Haix.. Dumb ferry :(
Bought another ferry ticket form another dealer and head back thereafter.

Had dinner at their so called food court...
To us, buffet means all you can eat..
But i saw one stall is selling sort of mixed vergetables rice and they called it buffet- To choose 2 or 3 choices of cusine together with your rice... Hmmm... How interesting!!!

**Surprisingly and puzzle that we saw at least 3 different muslim families in Macau... And was thinking is there any halal food for them??? As i did not notice of any halal food outlts**

22 Dec 07 (Sat)
DAY 3 IN HK ~~The Peak ~~

Today, we joined the half day complimentary tour with the rest.

Take away Mac's breakfast burger, while seating in the bus to fetch the rest from other hotels.
Tour guide Patrick told us we can have dim sum breakfast together with the rest for HK$50 each. Since we had yet taken our breakfast, we agreed!!!

The food was superb!! Carrot cake, siew mai, zhu chang feng, fried stuff and pi dan porridge...
PLUS, Singporean's favourite- SAMBAL CHILI!!!!

Went to mid of peak to take pictures....

Next was to Resplusive Bay, see the Jambo and to Jewellery factory outlet and lastly, gingseng shop...

One of the temples in Repulsive Bay

The assistant tour guide was very funny and helpful and approachable...
Funny in the sense, keep on calling every females "sister" in a very weird tone.. LOL.. We 2 keep on joking behind his back!!! OOPS...

Helpful in attending to every tourist needs, helping us to pour tea, look after us in the tour.

Approachable in like we are more comfortable in asking him questions rather than his senior.. LOL... Though I forgot his name...

Oh ya.. We also "willingly" to pay for a HK$280 (S$56)) for a plate with each owner's face of the backgroup of the mid peak cum another 3-4s album with a few blank pages to place our own pictures in... HAHA...

Left the tour and to search for our wishing tree!!!
By the tiem we reached there is only like 4 plus, however, the skies are already darks.. Like Singapore 6 or 7 plus night...

HAIX.... Anyway, we prayed for our family and our happiness!!!
Hope everything will come true!!!!
Currently, the giantic tree cannot hang those praying stuff le.. Sad.. as it was too heavy holding on to 2 fruits for each wish...

Now, it was hung on a board... Not too bad...

Reaching the bus stop to make our way back to MTR, saw the Hong Kong's 小巴 (Mini bus, whereby you will need to tell them where you would liek to stop, if not, they will continue the journey). The bus driver was super nice knowing we are tourists, specially told us that we had reached our destination!!! thumbs up for you!!!

Us in 小巴 and the rest of the pessangers

YES!!! This is the first and last time we took 小巴 in this holiday

Took train to go up to The Peak to see the view of HK. WOW... Its a saturday, and tourists was everywhere... Waited for almost an hour, before we queued to take the Peak Tram...

No wonder the "sister" tour guide ask us to go at 1830 for the best timing up to the Peak... Now i know =) To avoid the crowds!!!!

It was especially thirlling when the Tram reached a 45 degree up the Peak!!! Everything was in 45 degrees and i like the view.. So unimaginable!!!!! Luckily, i was seated to and fro, if not, i dont think i can view it so easily and so happily!!!

We went Madame Tussauds first of all, as it closes at 10pm..
Some of the wax figurine like so real, our Mr Lee Kwan Yew, Jackie Chan, Bei Yong Jun, Andy Lau...
However, there are some weird looking artists like Zhang Bo Zhi, Jay Chou and etc..

Jackie Chn at the entrance welcoming us

Me with the witch hat

Next, we go up the escalator to the Sky Terrece toview teh whole of HONG KONG via The Peak

This is not as nice as using my cousin's camera.. But hey, not bad le, as its using my HP take de hor!!! Still can see some lights somemore k!!!

Its getting colder and colder till I felt cold.. Add on a jacket to prevent myself frm getting a cold.. Woo.. Anyway, i like/ LOVE the cool weather!!!!!
It became more and more hazy near to 2230... Luckily, we are done with the photo takings of The Peak.. wahaha... At least, not a wasted trip!!!

Sat at one of the conrners and enjoy the cold weather!!!

It was a tiring day with full of activities!!!

23 Dec 07 (Sun)
DAY 4 IN HK ~~ 大佛 (Big Buddha) ~~

Went 莲香楼 for a really traditional Chinese dim sum, recommended by a magazine of eat around HK... Really a cannot missed place to see how the HK people had their breakfast...

Firstly, there is no such thing as queuing.. You will need to be daring and stand beside a table of people for them to finish and chop theirseats.. They are not in a hurry to finished their breakfast makes you frusturated with them. HAHA... Hungry people looking for food, thats why!!!

Seats are hard to find, after struggling for almost half an hour, 2 kind hearted residents finished and asked us to take over their seats!!! So cool of them!! And as we thought we got to start our breakfast, NOOOOOO, not so fast!!!

Still got to wait for them to clear the table and wait for our sets to arrive before we can order... The same table as us was good too, seeing that we are not familiar with everything there, help us to get the waiter to clear.. After requesting a few attempts, finally, we are able to start eatting!!!!!!

YUMMY YUMMY!!!!!!!!!! We ate till very full and it only HK$96 for 2 pax =)

We rushed down to 大佛.. It was soooooooo hazy...

See!!!! We are at the bottom and cannot see the 大佛's face....

We need to climb approximately 18 storeys high before we can reach the top!!
Stopped for several times before i attained to the top!!! WOO HOO!!!

Behind me was those fake bg tang hu lu.... In different flavours!!

Enjoyed our VIPs vegetarian cusines... Never knew that vegetarian food can taste so sedup!!

Went citygate for some shopping and grocery shopping at their local supermarket!!
Bought a few brands of their instant noodles and some snacks that cannot be found in Singapore =)

Had our first dessert- me mango pudding and JL's zhi ma hu in HK...

Intially, thought of taking the Disney train pictures since we are nearby there, since we did not go to Disneyland this time round... Haix.. Too tired, so give up this idea...

**Did not managed to meet Connie today after she landed in HK... HAHA.. Its OK!!! We're meeting her up tomorrow morning!!!**

24 Dec 07 (Mon)
DAY 5 IN HK

Today, the 3 of us (cousin JL, Connie and Me) are going to Ocean Park!!
Yeah!!! Panda!!! Here i come. Though we should look forward to those sea animals???

Before that, went to our nearby Mac for breakfast...
For Muslims, pls restrict yourself from going to HK's Mac... As it is not HALAL...

They serve pork sussage (wordings in Chinese) and not chicken sussage!!! One if teh must try in HK, by Connie...

The tour guide forget about us!! (SOBZ) But they returned back to our Hotel and continued fretching the rest.. No wonder!! Cause the meeting time was 0910 but 0940 then we set off.. Haix.. Made us rush like mad for our breakfast!!!

First of all, we went to see my beloved pandas!!!
Since young, i love pandas... Everytime doing projects on animals, i will definitely chose them to be my main focus!!!

Finally!!!! Being able to see them in real life!!!

THEY ARE S CUTE TO THE MAX!!!!!

** Here's a lame joke
Qns: What is panda's lifetime regret?
Ans: Not being able to take a COLOURED photo (As they are in Black & White)
~~~COLD COLD~~~ **
Next was up the cable car to the upper level!!
Cable Car's scenery
Underwater world
Scary Shark; Eat you in wedding dinners then you know.. LOL
It was so crowded that we queued for 1 hour before we had our less than 2 minutes of childhood memories in the flying swings.... If really want to enjoy, the failities, better go on low peak seasons!!! NO QUEUS!!!
HUNGRY HUNGRY..
Had 1 fried chicken combo, 2 chicken mushroom rice in cream, 2 corns, 1 onion rings and 1 pizza for 3 poor kids =0
Dolphin show was next =)
YEAPIE!!!!
The entertainers before the show starts
A great show indeed... No wonder it was full for the 2.30pm slot...
Luckily, we managed to get in for the 3.30pm show =D
Followed back the tour to hotel..
Had mango desserts!!!
Yummy.. But a bit sour :(
We had 7-eleven food (instant noodles and instant fish balls) to pose for our turkeys and christmas meal that christmas eve...
Went over to Avenue of Stars to see the lightings..
SUPER SUPER CROWDED!!!!!!!!!
Furthermore, road bloacks everywhere :(
Aveneu fo Stars
Went to Canthon Road to countdown for Christmas!!!
WOW.. All sorts of Cantonese songs, which i had no idea of..
HAHA.. HK mah.. Of course major in Cantonese songs!!!
At least, i got to see Xu Zhi An and Yang Qian Hua in real person..
Their Fireworks was ncie too!!
but their party ended every early, 0015 and everything was finished!!!
Good too, so can go back hotel and pack bag and rest!!!
On the way back, bought 2 varieties of dim sums and our gui ling gao bought yesterday for our supper =) YUM YUM!!!!
25 Dec 07 (Tues)
Day 6 ~~Last minute shopping @ 旺角(Wang Jiao) and back to Singapore ~~
Morning went to a nearby dim sum restaurant for breakfast!!!
Ordered super loads of food for 2 pax..
Even the waitress asked if we can finished it.. LOL
As we overshot by waking up late and waiting time for the dim sums, we forgo the idea of going back to Avenue fo Stars to look at the handprints of those celebraties...
Windowed shopped a little befoe meeting Connie at 旺角. Went to 旺角中心, however, as it was christmas, they only open their shops at 1am... NO TIME for us!!!!
Therefore, went to the nearby shops and do our last minute shopping!!!
Too much things and so little time!!!
Did not managed to get back to the clothes stall we visited the first day... Cousin did not managed to get enough for her long sleeves clothing for drangon boat...
Took the wrong exit out and walked very far away back to hotel...
By the time we reached, those in the same bus with us for a transfer to airport was already in....
匆忙的我们赶紧上车去机场。
We reached airport, arranged our stuff again and went to queue.. HAIZ.. QUEUE AGAIN!!!
Go where also need to queue!!!
SIANZ....
Finally, our turn to check in...
At first, really no idea why the counter keep on calling to another person...
Thought we do things illegal or our baggages overweight...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO....
Its we do not have any tickets to board!!!!
MY GOD!!!!
How can like that!!!
He told us we might get delayed in returning to Singapore by 4 hours, might get compensation and etc...
BUT, we are OKay with it, as we're not in a hurry and be able to shop!!!
He asked us to wait aside while he checked for us again...
GOOD NEWSSSSSSSSS!!!
We are able to get upgrade to Business class seats at no cost!!!
SHIOK NOT!!!!
WAHAHA!!! So happy!!!
BUT WE NEED TO RUSH!!!!
Time now is 1523, need to be seated at 1535!!!
Less then 15 minutes to rush!!! MY GOD!!!!!!
I had yet to have lunch eh!!!!
Their terminals soooooooo huge la... Got Gate1 till Gate80... And ours was at Gate 63 somemore... Need to take a train stop and we happened to missed it... SWAYYYYYYYY!!!!
Luckily, the next one was 2 minutes away...
Board the train, alight and run like 2 madwomen going crazy....
TAA DAH!!!! Reached safely in the plane catching my breath... Wooo... We're not the last one to arrive.. As we heard an announcement calling for one more passenger... PHEW..
真的是有惊无险!!
** Random: HK MTR's (Our MRT's) seems to be using Hello Kitty to be their ambassador for their train.. **
**Note: The picture on their left hand side chest is the logo and most important thign to look out for when you are travelling in HK via MTR!!!**
The business class really provide different service... We can order wine as drinks instead of fruit juices or soft drinks... Food taste better with great decoration and log cakes/ coffee cakes and cheese with biscuits or fruits as desserts... Last but not least, the small and elagant gold box of cookies as Christmas gift for the passengers... I doubt our original class will provide such service...
To sum up!!!
-Hong kong is really a good place to eat, shop and play...
-The passer by are really helpful in answerign your quires on directions of road...
-But not conserign $$ matters
-Cool weather!! This year was really a cold christmas!!!
-I wanna go back HK and eat and shop again!!!
End of part 1, do look out for part 2 pictures and some of the details that i might missed out here!!!
